Let a removal specialist and courier services take the strain out of moving

If you are off to study at university or moving house because of a new job then there are a number of choices when it comes to the logistics of it all. For your furniture and other large items a man with a van is often a good choice as they can offer a more personal service than the larger companies. For smaller items, if you do not want to pay for multiple trips in the van then you could have these packed up and sent separately, using a parcel delivery company. If you decide to go this route then do be sure that there will be someone at the new address to receive the parcels as they will need to be signed for. Alternatively, most courier services are happy to leave things with a helpful neighbour if you let them know ahead of time.

There are probably many local van drivers that can help you with your more bulky belongings and you can either look through your local newspaper’s classified advertisements section or search online to find the nearest and most convenient. Have a chat with the driver first of course to make sure that you are confident he will do a good job. If you are moving quite a way then a delivery company that has good nationwide coverage is usually better for your parcels as they are able to offer more competitive rates than smaller operations that will have to make a special journey just for you.
